Born on June 3rd, 1988, 1.75m with the hair, 69kg.
Where are you from and what are you doing in Paris?
I’m a photographer from a small island in the Caribbean called Puerto Rico, and I came to Paris to explore an MBA in Fashion & Luxury and ended up becoming something of a European Gold Trader, traveling weekly from country to country, but now I might be getting deported so I want to enjoy the city as much as possible and I might as well document it just is case I have to leave I have something to cherish of my time in Paris.
What is Curls Around the World?
I need a platform where I can share more details and that they stay saved forever and that I can also share with the public without feeling critical about it. I love looking back and seeing how much I’ve progressed over the years and I tend to ‘reinvent myself’ quite a bit. So this is another reinvention where I can morph various of my passions into one.
Who designed your blog and what platform do you use?
I designed it myself, and am still making changes to it as I go along. I use Dreamweaver for the static pages and WordPress for the blog section with a theme I downloaded from Scissor Theme.
Who takes your pictures? What camera do you use? What programs do you use?
Normally I do them myself with a tripod and self-timer as I can never find a remote control for my camera. But I’m thinking about investing in a good one soon, though.
I use a Nikon D750 with a 35mm f/1.8 Nikkor lens and D7000 sometimes but its quite heavy so I don’t take it out much.
I shoot some of my videos on the D750 and the newest addition to my bag, my very first Canon, a G7X cause at the moment it’s the ‘must’ for vloggers apparently.
When was the last time you straightened your hair?
I think last time I straightened my hair was for my high school graduation in 2006. So I’ll probably do so again for another equally important day.
I don’t like how my ‘natural’ hair is after straightened, I would need to have extensions on and all that is soooo much wooork! My natural curls as so beautiful I don’t find it necessary to go through all that for nothing.
I am trying to experiment with different curly hairstyles and colors, though, so feel free so send me suggestions.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by everything that is around me. I enjoy life so much and am able to appreciate the little things and see the beauty in that and try to capture it.
What compelled you to do this?
Here I created a place where I can share anything I wanted without boundaries about my travels, lifestyle, and photography (and now videos) in a more personal way. I studied an MBA in Paris about Brand Ambassadors and I’ve always loved to talk self-portraits so why not make a blog now that blogs are still booming and don’t look like they are dying anytime soon, which is what made me take so long to create one.
